24、tion Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalve,alsocalledemergencyvalveorinternalsecurityvalve,thesubjectofthis standard,isaninternalselfclosingstopvalveensuringtheprimarycontainmenttoconfinethedangerous substanceswithinthetankwhenclosed. Itallowstheflowofdangeroussubstances intheunloadingdirection,thatis,fro

25、mthetankcompartmentintothe runoffpipeonlywhenexternallyactuated. Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshouldbecapableofallowingtransferofdangeroussubstancesinthe bottomloadingdirectionthroughselfactuationbythehydraulicforceoftheloadeddangeroussubstances.EN13308:2002(E) 5 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardisappli

26、cabletononpressurebalancedfootvalveandspecifiestheperformance requirements,criticaldimensionsandtestsnecessarytoverifythecomplianceoftheequipmentwiththisstandard. Theequipmentspecifiedbythisstandardissuitableforusewithliquidpetroleumproductsandotherdangerous substancesofClass3ofADREuropeanAgreementc

33、llowthesubstancetoflowintothecompartmentbythehydraulicforceofthesubstance beingloaded. 5 Designcharacteristics 5.1Pressure rating Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallbedesignedforaworkingpressureofatleast500kPa. 5.2Dimensions ThenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallbedesignedforusewithDN100nominalborepi

34、pe. 5.3Mounting 5.3.1 ThetankmountingflangeshallbeinaccordancewithAnnexA; 5.3.2 ThepipeconnectionflangeshallbeinaccordancewithAnnexBorAnnexCaccordingtothespecified type. 5.4 Bottomloadingflowcharacteristics 5.4.1 Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallbesuitableforbottomloadingratesupto150m 3 /hatawork

35、ing pressureupto500kPa; 5.4.2 Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalvedesignshallbesuchthatturbulence,jettingorsprayingofproductis effectivelycontrolled. 5.5Actuation 5.5.1 Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallbeexternallyactuatedbymechanical,pneumaticorother means. 5.5.2 Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallc

36、loseifitsactuatingmeansfailsorisdisconnected,except duringloading. 5.5.3 Thesettingofthevalvetotheopenpositionshallbevisible. 5.5.4 Amechanicalmeansofexternallyoperatingthenonpressurebalancedfootvalvemaybeprovidedforuse incaseofanemergency. 5.5.5 Themeansofactuationofthenonpressurebalancedfootvalves

37、hallbesodesignedastoprevent inadvertentopeningthroughimpactorunconsideredaction. 5.6Breakaway security 5.6.1 Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveseatshallbedesignedtobelocatedwithintheenvelopeofthetanker compartment. 5.6.2 Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallbedesignedsuchthatintheeventofaccidentaldamage

40、ntocontactwiththesubstancesspecifiedinthescope. 5.9 Electricalresistance Theelectricalresistancebetweenanyconductivepartofthevalvewhichmaycomeintocontactwiththe transportedsubstancesandthemainbodyofthevalveshallnotexceed10 6 Provisionshallbemadeforthebondingofthemainbodyofthevalvetothetanksuchthatth

41、eelectricalresistance betweenthetwoshallnotexceed10 5.10Strainer Thenonpressurebalancedfootvalveshallbecapableofacceptingastrainertominimizethepossibilitythatloose foreignobjectswithinthetankmightpreventtheclosureofthenonpressurebalancedfootvalve. 6Tests 6.1General Twoclassesoftestsarerequired,produ

TestingmethodsandproceduresshallcomplywiththerequirementsofprEN122661:1999andEN122662:2002 exceptasspecifiedoramendedwithinthisstandard. 6.2Production tests 6.2.1General Thenumber,frequencyandsamplingmethodsofproductiontestsamplesshallnotbelessthanthosespecified withinISO2859
