22、enthasagainstinjuryistheclothingheorsheis wearingatthetime.Motorcyclistsclothingisgenerallywornasanextensionofnormalclothing,providing protectionagainstambientconditionsofwind,waterandcold,butmotorcycleclothingperformingtherequirements ofthisstandardalsoprovidessomeprotectionfrominjuryintheeventofan
23、accident.Itisintendednottohindera riderfromcontrollinghismachine.Itshouldbeofanacceptableappearancetothewearer. ThisEuropeanStandardisprimarilyconcernedwiththeprotectionprovidedbyclothingagainstinjuryinaccidents. Thehazardstowhichmotorcyclistsareexposedvarywidelydependingonthephysicalenvironmentsuch
24、asthe natureoftheroadtrackormountainside,theclimaticenvironment,thetrafficenvironment,thespeedatwhichthe motorcycleisbeingriddenandtheskilloftherider.Itisimpracticaltoobtaintotalclothingperformanceagainst everycombinationofhazardexisting.Thereforethisstandardcontainstherequirementsforsinglecharacter
