27、tleastthelengthnecessary forthemeasurementofthevelocityofdetonation l,plusfivetimesthecartridgediameter d,i.e. L 5d+l Whenthelengthofanindividualcartridgeislessthan L,prepareeachtestpiecebyjoiningtwocartridgestogether. Incaseofclippedcartridges,theendportionoftwocartridgesshouldbecutofftoformaflatsu
28、rfacenotlessthan thediameterofthechargeandthecartridgesjoinedbybuttingtogetherandtapingsecurely.EN1363114:2003(E) 6 6.2 Assemblyofthetestpieceandmeansofinitiation 6.2.1 General Ifthetestpiececomprisesmorethanonecartridge,fitthesensorstothecartridgeatoneendandinitiatethe cartridgeattheotherend. Confi
29、nementwithsteeltubesshallbeusedwhenthe(unconfined)explosivedoesnotsupportstabledetonationat thetestdiameter. Theinternaldiameterofthesteeltubeshouldbesuchthatthecartridgecanbeinsertedintoitwithoutleavingan unnecessarilylargeannularspacebetweenthecartridgeandthetube,inordertoavoidchanneleffect. Themi
