25、djointsealants.Thehotappliedjointsealantisheatedfor6hat saveheatingtemperatureforpreparingthetestspecimens. 5Apparatus 5.1 Anoilbath,employingahighflashpointoilasthetransfermediumshallbeusedforheatingthejointsealant beforepouringintotestmoulds.Itshallhaveaninnercontainer.Theoilshallhaveaflashpointof
26、notlessthan 285C. Theoilbathpreferablyconstructedofsheetcoppernotthickerthan1,5mm,shallhaveeitheracylindricalrecess intowhichtheinnercontainerfitsloosely,ortheinnercontainershallbesuspendedintheoil.Theoilshallbefree tocirculateroundthebottomandsidesofthecylindricalrecess,orthebottomandsidesofthecont
27、ainer,according tothedesignofapparatusadopted,toatleastthesamelevelasthelevelofthesealant. 5.2 Aninnercontainershallbemadeofmetal,notthickerthanapproximately1mmandpreferablyformedby spinningorpressing.Thejoints,ifany,shallbeweldedorbrazed,andshallbeleakproof.EN138806:2004(E) 5 Thecontainershallbeapp

30、pleofhotappliedsealant,approximately1kgconsistingofabout20asfaraspossibleequal portionswhicharefromincrementbymeansofheatedknifeverticalfromtoptobottom.Thetestsampleshallbe representativeoftheincrementfromwhichitistaken. Heattheoilbathwiththeinnercontainerfixedinposition,untiltheoilisatthesafeheatin
31、gtemperatureforthe sealantandmaintainitatthistemperature. Placeportionsofthetestsampleintheinnercontaineroneatatimeatintervalsofapproximately0,5minstarting whenthetemperatureoftheoilhasreachedatleastthesafeheatingtemperature. Withthelidinpositionstircontinuouslyboththeoilandthetestsampleintheinnerco
32、ntainer. Heatthetestsampleuntilitstemperaturereachesthesafeheatingtemperature.Thetimetakenshallnotexceed 1,5h.
