Thecontractshallcontainthedefinitionofthebeginningandendoftheperiodduringwhichthescrapshallbe delivered.Deliveriesoutsidethisperiodshallnotbeadmittedunlessthepurchaserinsistsonthedeliveryatthe contractualcon

27、ditions.EN139201:2003(E) 5 5 Generalrequirements 5.1Hazardous contaminants Thescrapshallnotcontainmaterialslikeasbestos,cadmium,mercury,lithium,selenium,PCBs(polychlorinated bisphenyls)orPCBimpregnatedmaterials,explosiveorradioactivematerials,medicalandhospitaldisposal.If thereisanyevidenceorsuspici

28、onthatthescrapmightcontainanysuchhazardouscontaminant,thisshallbe notifiedtothepotentialpurchaser,whoseagreementtoreceivethescrapshallbeobtainedbeforeshipment. Closedhollowarticles,ifpresent,shallbeperforatedtoavoidrisksofexplosionduringprocessingand/ormelting. NOTE Otherrestrictionsrelevanttospecif

29、icscrapcategoriesarespecifiedinEN139202throughEN1392016. 5.2 Conditionofscrap Ifnototherwiseagreedorspecifiedintherelevantstandard: thescrapshallbesuppliedasloosescrap; thedimensionsofeachpieceshallnotbelargerthan(600 600 400)mm.Themassofeachpieceshallnot exceed200kg. 5.3Foreign materials Ifnotother

30、wisespecified,thescrapshallbefreefromforeignmaterial. 5.4Mass tolerances Thedifferencebetweentheconsignedquantityandtheorderedquantityshallnotexceed5%iftheordered quantityislowerthan30anddeliveredinonesingleshipment.Forlargerquantitiesthatrequiremultipleshipments, thetotaldeliveredmassshallnotdiffer

31、fromtheorderedmassbymorethan3000kg. Foreachshipment,themassdifferencebetweentheunloadedmassverifiedbythepurchaseratthearrivalofthe deliveryandthemassdeclaredintheshipmentdocumentsshallnotexceed0,2%. 6Sampling 6.1General Theobjectiveofasamplingprocedurespecifiedin6.2,6.3and6.4istocollectfromaninspect

32、ionlota representativesampleonwhichitispossibletoperformthefollowingbasictestsrepresentativeforthewhole inspectedmass: determinationoftheaveragechemicalcomposition; determinationofthepercentageofeachforeignmaterial; determinationofthemetalyield. Thedefinitionoftheinspectionlotshallbelefttothepurchas

Forclassification,samplingandtestproceduresdifferentfromandsimplerthanthosespecifiedinclauses6and7 maybeused.Nevertheless,uponspecialrequestofthesupplier,e.g.inthecaseofnonconformities,sampling andtestsshallbebasedontheproceduresspecifiedinclauses6and7,asfarasapplicable,oronother procedures,ifag

34、reeduponbetweensupplierandpurchaserorproposedbyaneutralprofessionalsampler.EN139201:2003(E) 6 6.2 Samplingproceduresforgranulatedaluminiumscrapandturnings 6.2.1 Thisprocedureappliestothosematerialsthatbynatureareconstitutedbyrelativelysmallandloose particlesallowingsmallquantitiestobeeasilypickedup(

35、e.g.withashovel)indifferentplacesoftheconsignment. 6.2.2 Duringorimmediatelyaftertheunloadingofthematerial,afteravisualinspection,collectaquantityof1% to5%oftheinspectionlot. 6.2.3 Mixaccuratelythevariousportionstakenfromtheinspectionlot,spreadthecollectedmaterialinaformof aroundflatdiskandtakeasqui

36、cklyaspossibleasamplefromdifferentpartsofthediscformoisturedetermination asdescribedin7.1.Storethissampleinaclosedcontainerinordertoavoidanychangeofthemoisturecontent beforetesting.Themoisturetestshallbecarriedoutassoonaspossible. 6.2.4 Dividetheremainderofthesampleinquartsalongtwoperpendiculardiame

Therefore,oneofthethreealternativesamplingproceduresgivenin6.3.2to6.3.4shallbeused: 6.3.2 A

39、lternativeprocedure1 Takeasampleofabout500kgfromtheinspectionlot.Thissampleshallincludeasfaraspossiblelargeblocks richinmetal,smallerbrittleparts,spillings,dustetc.inthesameproportionsaspresentinthewholemassunder inspection.Afterremovalofpieceswhicharetoolarge(blocks),grindtheremainingamountofthesam

40、ple.Treatit onasievetoseparatethemetallics( 0,84mm)fromthefines(0,84mm)andeliminatethelatter.Further,test thelargeblocksandtheobtainedmetallicsasspecifiedin7.2and7.3. 6.3.3 Alternativeprocedure2 Sorttheinspectionlotintotwofractionsasfollows: thelarge,heavyblocksrichinmetal; theremainingpartconstitut

41、edbythesmallerpiecesofdrossmixedwiththepowderyfraction. Determinethemassproportionofthetwofractions.Taketwodifferentsamples,onefromeachfraction.Investigate bothsamplesasfollows. Thesampleoftheblocksfractionshallberepresentativeandweighnotlessthan100kg.Itshallbemeltedinasalt rotaryfurnaceofasizesuita

42、bleforsuchtests,todeterminethemetalyield.EN139201:2003(E) 7 Dryprocesstheotherfractionentirelythroughamillandseparatethefinesoflessthan0,84mmdiameter.The grindingtimefortheskimmings/drossesshallbesuchastoobtainmetallicswithametalyieldofabout65%. Obtainarepresentativesampleofnotlessthan20kgfromthecon

43、centratedfractionofmetallicsaccordingtothe procedurelaiddownin6.2.Determinethefreeiron,chemicalcompositionandmetalyieldasdescribedunder7.2 and7.3. Calculatetheaverageoftheresultsoftheinvestigationscarriedoutonthetwosamplesinordertoobtaindata whichrepresentthequalityofthewholeinspectionlot. 6.3.4 Alternativeprocedure3 Samplingmayalsobedonebydirectmeltingofa
