20、ement of flame spread properties of vertically oriented specimens (IS0 6941 :1984, including Amendment : 1 992) 3 Definitions For the purposes of this European Standard the following definitions apply. 3.1 flaming debris: debris is considered to be flaming if, when separated from the specimen during
21、 the test procedure, it is able to ignite the filter paper. 3.2 industrial and technical textiles: any textile which can be used for industrial or technical purposes. NOTE: The definition does not include textiles for general purposes such as curtains, drapes, protective clothing, upholstery or bedd
22、ing. 4 Pretreatment Cleansing may influence the burning behaviour of some industrial and technical textiles by removing non durable finishes or by changing the structure of the material. For the relevant pretreatment procedure, reference should be made to: a) the product performance standard; b) the
23、 manufacturers recommended procedure; or c) a procedure agreed between the involved parties. 24、 the test specimens required shall be in accordance with EN IS0 6941. Unless otherwise specified, the test specimen shall not contain any features of construction such as seams, pleats etc. 6 Conditioning Condition the test specimen and the filter paper for at least 24 h in the standard atmosphere o
25、f (2012)“C and (65k5)Y0 r.h. 7 Procedure 7.1 Flame spread shall be tested according to EN IS0 6941 using commercial grade propane gas. 7.2 For evaluation of flaming debris, position horizontally, below the test specimen, at a distance of (50 f 1 O) mm from the lower edge of the specimen, a piece of
26、at least 150 mm x 100 mm of a filter paper with the following characteristics : - Area specific mass (80 f 20) g/m2, thickness (0,20 k 0,05) mm, content of alpha cellulose 95 Yo. If the burner could touch the filter paper, a suitable slot shall be cut in each piece of filter paper used. 8 lest repor
27、t The test report shall include the following information: a) reference to this detailed procedure, .e. EN 1624 :I 999 ; b) identification of the textile; c) the cleansing procedure if used or a statement that the material is not intended to be cleansed; d) date of test; e) techniques used to attach

29、face tested; 1) the flame spread times measured according to 8.9a) and c) of EN IS0 6941 :1995; 2) if six specimens are tested, the mean from the results for all specimens that burn to the respective marker thread and the number of values averaged. Do not report a mean of less than three values; h)
30、the number of specimens that fail to ignite; i) the number of specimens which ignite but fail to burn to the first marker thread; j) the result of the evaluation of flaming debris.
