This test shal be carried out on a welders shield that has been drop tested in accordance with 8.2. 8.4.2 Procedure Place the equipment to be tested directly in front of a light some with a minimum output of 1 200 lumens. Position the welding shield in such a wa

29、 Annex A (informative) Guidance on design of welders shields This annex contains guidance on the design of welders shields. - The design of welders shield should be such that (2% build up in the respiratory area is minimized. - The lower part of any welders face shield should be designed so that wel

30、ding fumes are guided away from the respiratory area. - Welders shields of convex nature allow metal dmpleb to roli off readily in overhead welding SitUdiOnS. - Welders face shield fitted with oculars recommended by the manufadurer should be designed to be weli balanced. - The shield should, e.g. at

31、 the head gear, include a stopping mechankm in order that the shield shai not iqjure the throat when bei positioned downwards. - The shield should have low thermal condu-. - Welders face shields may include devices to protect the wearers ears, throat and respiratory tract O BSI 1997 STD.BSI BS EN 17
