They may be used at temperatures up to 200 C maximum on nickel plated conductors with insulation rated for at le

18、ast 135 C. This standard shall be used in conjunction with EN 3373-001. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. BS EN 3373-014:2009EN 3373-014:2009 (E) 5 4.2 Materials 4.2.1 Insulating sleeve The outer insulating and sealing sleeve shall be heat-shrinkable, transparent blue, radiation cross-linked modified fluoropolymer with meltable inner sealing rings of mod

24、ified thermoplastic fluoroelastomer. 4.2.2 Crimp barrel The crimp barrel shall be copper alloy ASTM B75. 4.2.3 Plating of crimp barrel The plating of the crimp barrel shall be nickel per SAE-AMS-QQ-M-290. 4.3 Dimensions and mass For dimensions and mass, see Figure 1 and Tables 1 and 2. 28、 following exceptions. 5.2 For test EN 2591-305, TBshall be 65 C. 5.3 Dielectric withstand voltage, 2 500 volts D.C. for 1 min. 30、Crimping tools shall conform to the requirements of MIL-DTL-22520/37. BS EN 3373-014:2009EN 3373-014:2009 (E) 7 8.2 Heating devices Hot air heating devices shall be fitted with reflectors to concentrate the heat and protect adjacent materials from damage and shall produce an air temperature of 280 C

31、 to 340 C in the active zone of the reflector. For heating in areas where there may be a hazard due to the presence of flammable vapours only heaters specially designed and approved for use in such areas shall be used. 9 Marking The item code as per Table 1 shall be indicated by coloured bands on th

32、e crimp barrel as shown in Figure 1. 10 Packaging The packaging is to be marked with the EN designation, manufacturers name, part number, the quantity in the package and the date of manufacture and batch number.
