19、dardspecifiestherequirementsforgradesofunalloyedaluminiumintheformofingotsfor remelting. Itspecifiesthedesignationsforthesegrades,theconditionsinwhichtheyareproduced,theirpropertiesandthe marksbywhichtheyareidentified. NOTESomeoftheproductslistedinthepresentstandardcanbesubjecttopatentorpatentapplic

20、ations,andtheirlisting hereindoesnotinanywayimplythegrantingofalicenceundersuchpatentright. 26、rderagreedbetweensupplierandpurchaserwhichdifferfrom requirementsspecifiedinthisEuropeanStandard,thenthesespecialrequirementsshallapply. 5Requirements 5.1 Productionandmanufacturingprocesses Unlessotherwisespecifiedontheorder,theproductionandmanufacturingprocessesshallbelefttothediscretion ofthemanu

27、facturer. Unlessitisexplicitlystatedontheorder,noobligationshallbeplacedonthemanufacturertousethesame processesforsubsequentandsimilarorders. 5.2 Qualitycontrol ThesuppliershallberesponsibleforcarryingoutallinspectionandtestsrequiredbythisEuropeanStandardand additionalrequirements,priortoshipmentoft

28、heproduct.Ifthepurchaserwishestoinspecttheproductatthe suppliersworks,heshallstipulatethisatthetimeofplacingtheorder. 5.3 Chemicalcomposition Eachgradeofunalloyedaluminiumwithaspecifiedminimumaluminiumcontent,includingrefinedaluminium,shall beinaccordancewiththedesignationsandchemicalcompositiongive

29、ninTable1. Eachgradeofunalloyedaluminiumwithoutaspecifiedminimumaluminiumcontentshallbeinaccordancewiththe designationsandchemicalcompositiongiveninTable2. ThecompositionsshowninTable1andTable2aregiveninmasspercentmaximumunlessotherwisestated. Ininterpretingtheresultsofchemicalanalysis,thenumberrepr

30、esentingtheresultofthedeterminationofan elementcontentshallberoundedtothesamenumberofdecimalplacesasthecorrespondingnumberinthis standard. ThewritingrulesfordesignationsandchemicalcompositionshallbeappliedinaccordancewithannexA. IfthepurchaserrequirescontentlimitsforelementsnotspecifiedinthisEuropea

31、nStandard,theselimitsshallbe agreedbetweensupplierandpurchaserandstatedontheorder. 5.4 Freedomfromdefectsandforeignmaterial Theingotsshallbefreefromasbestosandotherhazardousforeignmaterialandshallshownoindicationof increasedradioactivity. Toastandardagreedbetweensupplierandpurchaser,theingotsshallbe

32、reasonablyfreefrom: a) visiblesurfacesdefectssuchasgrease,dirt,productsofcorrosion,drossoranyotherforeignbodies,including paintapartfromthatwhichisapprovedformarkingpurposes; b) metallicornonmetallicinclusions; c)gas porosity. Theingotscanhaveshrinkageholesorcrackswhichcanretainwaterandshalltherefor

33、ebethoroughlydriedand preheatedbeforechargingtoafurnacetoavoidtheriskofaviolentexplosion. 5.5 Formofproducts Thereareseveralpossibleshapesofingots,e.g:EN576:2003(E) 6 trapezoidalwhichcanbestacked.Thistypeofingotcanhaveoneormorenotchestoenableittobedivided intopiecesifrequired; Tbars,sowsorothershape

Thetolerancesoftheunitmasses,theshape,thedimensionsandthedimensionaltolerancesoftheindividual ingotsandbundlesshallbedefinedbyagreementbetweensupplierandpurchaseratthetimeofordering. 6 Productinspectionandtestingmethods 6.1General Samplingproceduresandanalyticaltestsshallbecarriedoutinaccordancew

35、ithprEN14726andprEN14361. Themeltshallbeclearlyidentifiedwithatraceablenumber.Fromeachmelt,analyticalsamplesshallbetaken duringthecastfromthemetaldistributionsystem.Theminimumnumberofsamplesforobtainingarepresentative analyticalresultshallbejustified. Eachanalyticalsampleshallbesuitablymachinedand,w

36、henanalysedbyemissionspectrometry,shallbesparked atleasttwice.Theresultoftheanalysisofthesampleshallbethearithmeticmeanofthevaluesobtainedbythe sparks. Eachsampleshallmeetthespecifiedcompositionlimits.Theanalysisofthemeltshallbethearithmeticmeanof theanalysisresultsofallthesamplestakenfromthismelt.

37、Themanufacturershalldetermineandperiodicallychecktheanalyticalaccuracyofeachelementanalysed. Heshallbeabletodemonstratethevalidityofthewholetestprocedure,includingsampling,samplepreparation andmeasurement. 6.2 Samplingandchemicalanalysisofmainimpurities Allanalyticalsamplesshallbeanalysedforthemaini

38、mpuritieswhicharespecifiedbythecolumnsinTable1or Table2.Theanalyticalresultshallbeindicatedonthecertificateofanalysis. 6.3 Samplingandchemicalanalysisoftraceimpurities ThetraceimpuritiesarethoseimpuritieswhicharenotspecifiedbythecolumnsinTable1andTable2.Forthe gradeswheremaximumvaluesoftraceimpuriti

39、esarespecifiedbyfootnotes,e.gPb,Hg,CdandAsinTable2,the suppliershallestablishandmaintainaqualityplanwhichspecifiesthefrequencyoftestsandtheanalytical procedure. SmalltracesofNaandLiimpuritiescancausesevereproblemsoncasting,rollingandthequalityofsomespecial products.Thereforeitisstronglyrecommendedth

40、atthemanufactureroftheingotsanalysestheseelementsand indicatestheresults(inmasspercenttofourdecimalplaces).Fortheseelementsandforotherimpuritiesthatcan causesimilarproblems,closerlimitsthanthoseofTable2maybespecifiedbyagreementbetweensupplierand purchaser. 6.4 Samplingfromingotsandchemicalanalysis S

41、amplingfromingotsisonlyappropriatewhenanalyticaldataofsamplesfromthemelt,e.goftraceelements,are notavailable.Afteragreementbetweensupplierandpurchaser,analyticaldatafromsamplestakenfromingots maybeusedasanindicationofthecompositionofthemetalprovidedthattheyareaveragesfromsamplestaken fromdifferentin

42、gotsofonemeltatalargenumberofdifferentpositionswithintheingots,accordingtoa documentedandjustifiedsamplingplan. NOTE Becauseofmacrosegregation,theconcentrationofcertainimpurities,especiallyofheavymetalswithalowmelting pointsuchasleadortin,canvarytoalargeextentwithinaningot.EN576:2003(E) 7 7 Inspecti

43、ondocuments Theconsignmentshallbeaccompaniedbyacertificateofanalysislistingtheresultsofthechemicalanalysisofthe mainimpuritiesasspecifiedin6.2andanyotherelementswhichhavebeenrequestedinadvance. 8 Markingofproducts Eachindividualingotshallbemarkedwiththemanufactureridentification. Unlessotherwiseindicatedontheorder,eachbundleofingotsandeachnonbundledingot,suchasTbarorsow, shallbemarkedwithatleastoneofthefollowing: thedesignationofthegradeofunalloyedaluminium; themeltnumber; theuni
