ItamendsandsupplementsEN9571.Therequirementsofthisspecificstandardtakepriorityoverthoseinthe generalstandard. 1Scope ThispartofthisEuropeanStandardspecifiesadditi

20、onalsafetyrequirementsforstrengthtrainingequipmentin additiontothegeneralsafetyrequirementsofEN9571. ThispartofthisEuropeanStandardisapplicabletostationarytrainingequipmenttypestrengthtrainingequipment withstackweightresistanceorothermeansofresistancelikeweightdisks,elasticcords,hydraulic,pneumatica

21、nd magneticsystemsandsprings(type2)(hereinafterreferredtoastrainingequipment)withtheclassesS andH. Anyattachmentprovidedwiththetrainingequipmentfortheperformanceofadditionalexercisesaresubjecttothe requirementsofEN9571. 2 Normativereferences ThisEuropeanStandardincorporatesbydatedorundatedreference,

24、anStandardthetermsanddefinitionsgiveninEN9571:1996apply. 4Classification Clause4ofEN9571:1996applies. 5 Safetyrequirements 5.1General Dependingonthedesignofthepieceoftrainingequipmentthefollowingrequirementsshallapplyasappropriate.EN9572:2003(E) 5 5.2Loading 5.2.1 Intrinsicloading Eachpieceofequipme

25、ntloadedwiththeusersbodymassshallwithstandaforce F forclassH 2,5timesthebodymass(100kg)withoutbreakage, forclassS 2timesthebodymass(100kg)withoutpermanentdeformation. Whentestedaccordingto6.2,supports(e.g.loadbearingsurfaces)shallnotbedeformedbymorethan f=1/100, cantileversupports(cantileversurfaces

26、)bymorethan f=1/150andotherdimensionsbymorethan1%.The trainingequipmentshallnotbreakwhenastaticloadof4timesthebodymassisapplied. 5.2.2 Extrinsicloading 5.2.2.1 ClassH Whentestedaccordingto6.3andloadedwiththeusersbodymassand/orreactionforcesormomentsoftheuser, eachpieceofequipmentshallwithstandwithou

30、bedeformedbymorethan f=1/100, cantileversupports(cantileversurfaces)bynotmorethan f=1/150 andotherdimensionsbynotmorethan1%. Ifgreaterthanmanufacturersmaximumstatedload,theequipmentshallbecapableofacceptingaminimaltorque loadasspecifiedinTable1,throughouttherangeofmovementofeachexerciseforwhichtheeq

31、uipmentis designed.Thetrainingequipmentshallnotbreakwhenastaticloadaccordingtoequation(2)withasafety coefficientof4isapplied. 5.3Endurance load Whentestedaccordingto6.4,thetrainingequipmentshallbecapableofnormalfunction. Whenthetrainingequipmentconsistsoftwoormoreseparatefunctionalunits,eachshallwit

32、hstandtheendurance loadtest. Whenmorethanonefunctionistested,whichinvolveuseofcommoncomponentse.g.:ropes,pulleysand bearings,thesecanbereplacedbeforeeachseparatetest. 5.4Stacked weights 5.4.1 Accesstosqueezeand/orshearpoints 5.4.1.1 General Theuncontrolledaccessbythirdpartiestosqueezeand/orshearpoin

33、tsofstackedweightsshallbeprevented. Weightsthatcanonlybeliftedasawholeblockshallnotcomecloserthan60mmduringmovementtoanypartof theequipmentortheground. 5.4.1.2 ClassH Thiscanbeachievedbyeither: a) surroundingbyacasinginconformancewithEN294withtheexceptionofamaximum75mmwidegapfor settingoftheweights;

34、or b) bylockingthemachinetopreventmovingofthestackedweightswhentheequipmentisnotinuseandby utilizingthetrainingareatodenyaccesstothirdpartiessee3.2andclause9c)ofEN9571:1996. 5.4.1.3 ClassS 5.4.1.3.1 Encasing Wherestackedweightsarebehindtheuserinthenormalexercisepositionasdescribedintheusersmanual (s

35、eeFigure1,verticalplaneAB)theyshallbeencasedonallsidesexceptonesidewhereagapof75mmmax.is allowedforselectionoftheweights.Stackedweightsthatareencasedshallfulfillthefollowingrequirement: upto1800mmtheencasingshallbeatleast60mmhigherthantheupperedgeoftheblockofweightsinits highestposition.EN9572:2003(
