Additional information The United Kingdom voted against the acceptance of this European Standard when it was circulated for UAP review. The principle objection is that the procedure described in clause 7 for determining the mass
5、per unit area does not clearly indicate at which point the shearing of the test specimen should stop. The United Kingdom also drew attention to the fact that the results of the test described in clause 7 are usually quite variable. This would have been at least partially overcome with the use of a b
6、etter method of sampling the specimens to be tested, such as that described in clause 5 of ISO 8543:1998. PRI/3 would welcome comments and proposals for solutions to the remaining problems commonly experienced with the test method referred to in clause 7, for consideration at the next review of this
7、 standard.
