27、perature difference in the cooling water. The dry cooling capacity shall be quoted as a function of the temperature difference between the reference temperature and the average cooling water temperature. The test is carried out in a testing system according to EN 442-2, which consists of a closed bo

All laboratories performing tests according to this standard shall participate in inter-laboratory comparison exercises (according to EN 442-2). To balance the dry cooling capa

To obtain reproducible results, the simulators shall be arranged according to 4.2. 4.2 Test booth The test is carried out in a test booth accordin

In deviation from these definitions the surfaces, floor and ceiling of the test booth shall be insulated in such a way as that the average heat flow in those surfaces is lower than 0,40 W/m during the test. This heat flow shall be determined by preliminary calibration tests of the boo

31、th or by calculations. In deviation from EN 442-2, the reference air temperature shall be 28 C 0,5 K during the measurement. The temperature of the metal surfaces under the insulation of the walls, floor and ceiling of the test booth shall be regulated and be maintained at a value, which is necessar

The radiant emissivity of the surface of the insulation shall be at least 0,9. The test booth will be heated with 10 electrically heated dry cooling load simulators (see Figure 1

33、), which are positioned on the floor of the test booth. The dimension of “a“ in Figure 1 depends on the thickness of the inner wall insulation. The output of each simulator shall not exceed 180 W and shall be continually variable. The housing of the simulators consists of painted sheet steel. The em

37、 The test method shall be carried out according to EN 442-2. Analogue to the excess temperatures given, the under temperatures shall be: T = (8 K 0,5) K T = (10 K 0,5) K T = (12 K 0,5) K BS EN 16430-3:2014EN 16430-3:2014 (E) 8 The under temperature is the difference between the reference room temper

38、ature and the mean water temperature: 2)(21tttTr+= (1) Where: tr is the reference air temperature, t1 is the outlet water temperature, t2 is the inlet water temperature. The aim of the test is to establish the standard dry cooling capacity of a radiator etc. by determining the related values of dry

39、cooling capacity and under temperature. Neither of these quantities can be measured directly, but shall be calculated using the values of other measureable quantities, either directly or with additional information (calibration test, material properties table), by using mathematical relationships. T

40、he uncertainty in measuring the dry cooling capacity shall not exceed 25 W. 4.3.2 Fan assisted radiators / convectors If the fans do not cover the entire radiator / convector, the performance of the radiator / convector is the sum of the performance of base units plus those of any resulting residual

41、 length. The basic unit is considered to be the smallest combination of a regularly repeating radiator / convector section with fan(s). This basic unit shall be indicated by the manufacturer. A combination of basic units of a length of at least 1 m is examined. The performance of the basic unit is d

42、etermined from this by calculation. The length of the sample under test shall be adapted if the requirements for the minimum dry cooling capacity according to 5.5 are not fulfilled. If the total length of all basic units is less than the total length of the radiator / convector the standard dry cool

43、ing capacity of the remaining length (difference) shall be determined with a fan speed of 0, see Figure 6 and Figure 7. If a fan acts on different lengths of a radiator / convector (e. g, a fan at the end of the radiator / convector), at least 3 lengths (shortest, medium, longest) shall be measured.

48、ssible cases shall be considered: Case 1: The fan speed is not variable: A full characteristic curve shall be determined based on the above mentioned three measuring points. The fan rotation speed and the corresponding electrical power shall be measured and documented in the test report. Case 2: The

49、 fan speed is variable (continuous or multi stage): A full characteristic curve shall be determined based on the above mentioned three measuring points at a mean fan speed of the fan(s). For the lowest and the highest fan speed it is sufficient to determine the dry cooling capacity at T = (10 0,5) K only. For the characteristic curves at the lowest and highest fan speed it is assumed, that the exponent n is the same as determined for the mean fan speed. The electrical power of the fan(s) shall be measured for each fan speed u
