21、eries Power transformers (IEC 60076 Series) 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply: 3.1 thermometer pocket a device, generally mounted (may be welded) on the transformer or reactor cover, intended to house a thermometer to measure the ins
22、ulating liquid temperature (marking A) 3.2 earth terminal a terminal placed on the dry-type transformer structure or on the liquid immersed transformer/reactor tank, for connection to an earthing system (marking B) 3.3 draining plug a device intended to sample or remove the insulating liquid from a

24、wheel assembly the set of rollers used for scrolling the transformer on the beam (U) or rail track of the final installation place 4 Thermometer pockets to be used for liquid immersed transformers 4.1 General Clause 4 specifies the thermometer pockets for liquid immersed transformers in order to ens
25、ure the interchangeability of the accessories to this pocket. The location and the method of fitting on the cover are not specified by this standard. The transformer shall be in accordance with the EN 60076 series and EN 50464-1 for liquid immersed transformer. The opening shall be protected against
26、 the ingress of moisture and foreign bodies. The pocket has to be filled with oil or other suitable medium to ensure transfer of heat. 4.2 Dimensions of thermometer pockets The closure (like a bolt / gasket / cap to avoid get in dust and water) and the method of manufacturing is not specified by thi

28、rs, complying with the EN 60076 series and EN 50464 series for liquid immersed transformers and EN 50541 series for dry-type transformers. The terminal shall ensure continuous electrical continuity and shall be capable of carrying a current calculated to EN 50522. Earth terminals with larger contact
29、 surface for higher fault current or duration of the fault can be designed according to EN 50522. Three types are available with different current rating, according to the practice of different countries. 5.2 Dimensions of different earth terminals Material for all earth terminals should be Stainles
30、s steel or normal steel with tin- or zinc plated at the contact surface to protect against corrosion. EN 50216-4:2015BS EN 50216-4:20156 Draining plug with sampler (preferred solution for distribution transformers) 6.1 General Clause 6 specifies the dimensions and shape of the draining plug
33、 with sampler for liquid immersed transformers in accordance with EN 60076 series and EN 50464-1. To obtain a sample of liquid, the plug is turned and liquid escapes by the small groove in the boss. These devices shall be leak-proof for hot mineral oil at 115 C, at 1,2 x 105Pa. If other liquid is us
34、ed with higher temperature limit the manufacturer have to demonstrate the leak-proof. 36、e used with a special connector. 7 Filling openings for liquid immersed distribution transformers 7.1 General Clause 7 specifies the dimension of the filling holes for liquid immersed transformers, in accordance with EN 60076 series and EN 50464-1. In addition, the filling hole provides for the inst
37、allation of a liquid level indicator or a protection device. 7.2 Dimensions The diameter of the hole in the cover shall be 60 mm 1 mm. By agreement between purchaser and manufacturer, other arrangements are admitted, such as filling pipes with preferred inside diameter of 51 mm (2). EN 50216-4:2015B
38、S EN 50216-4:20158 Rollers, choice, dimensions and distance 8.1 General Clause 8 specifies the wheel assembly for transformers, in accordance with EN 60076 series, EN 50464-1 for liquid immersed transformers and EN 50541 for dry-type transformers. The transformer shall be suitable for movement in tw
39、o directions, but the wheel assembly shall be fixed in the selected direction. 8.2 Requirements 8.2.1 Choice of the roller The roller is composed by the following parts: a wheel plate in order to fix the roller to the bottom of the transformer; one or two wheels; a trolley in case of a double wheel
40、roller. The rollers shall comply with one of the following types, represented in Figure 8: W1: flat wheel; (preferred solution for distribution transformers); W2: flanged wheel; (preferred solution for medium power transformers); W3: flanged double wheel with trolley; (preferred solution for large p

44、 Rollers distance The rollers with flange defined in this standard are suitable for use with the rail type 60E1 according to EN 13674-1, that has a width of 72 mm; in case of use with a different rail the compatibility of the roller shall be verified. The rail track of the substations bay may have a
45、 single track or a double track, see Figure 10 and Figure 11. In a single rail track a wheel assembly composed of four rollers shall be used; in a double rail track a wheel assembly composed of eight rollers shall be used. NOTE 1 In some cases the rollers will be used for the positioning of the tran
46、sformer on the service bay. After positioning of the transformer the rollers will be removed.
