24、ction 1.1 Generd This standard deals with low pressure tests at room temperature. The object of this test is to determine the ability of components, equipment or other articles to be stored, transported or used under low air pressure conditions. Note. - Articles to be stored, transported or used und

25、er a simultaneous combination of high or low temperature and low air pressure should, where the combination is important for the stresses imposed on the article or for the failure mechanisms, be tested according to: - IEC Publication 68-2-40: Basic Environmental Testing Procedures, Part 2: Tests -Te

27、uced into the test chamber, the chamber air pressure is then reduced to the appropriate value specified in the relevant specification. These conditions are maintained for the specified duration. 3. Description of test apparatus The test chamber shall be capable of maintaining the air pressure condit

When heat-dissipating specimens are tested, the relevant specification may prescribe requirements applicable to the test chamber in

Severities The

30、severities, as indicated by air pressure and duration of exposure, shall be specified in the relevant specification. The values shall preferably be selected from those given in Sub-clauses 4.1 and 4.2. 4.1 Air pressure It shall be possible to maintain the following pressures in the chamber with a to

31、lerance of fS% or fO.l kPa whichever is the larger. The tolerance on the 84 kPa severity shall be f2 kPa. 32、t specimen at the lower limit of the air pressure value of the standard atmospheric conditions for testing. 4.2 Duration of exposure The relevant specification should select one of the following durations: - 5 min - 30 min -2h -4h - 16 h 5. Initial measurements The specimen shall be visually inspected and electrically and mechanically checked as required by the relevant specification. 7. Conditioning 7.1 7.2 7.3 7.4 7.5 The chamber sha

34、ll be within the temperature range specified by conditions for testing. For non-operational tests, the specimen shall be introduced unpacked, switched-off, “ready for use” state, in its normal specified. The pressure within the chamber shall then be reduced to the the standard atmospheric into the c

35、hamber in an position or as otherwise value appropriate to the severity. The relevant specification may limit the rate of change of pressure to not more than 10 kPa/min when considered necessary. When operational tests are required, the specimen shall be switched on or be electrically loaded. Checks

36、 shall be made to ascertain whether the specimen is capable of functioning in accordance with the relevant specification. The specimen may remain under operating conditions for the specified duration, or be switched off as prescribed in the relevant specification. If required by the relevant specifi

37、cation, intermediate measurements shall be performed. For heat-dissipating specimens, the relevant specification may require that the specimen is switched on and adequate time allowed for it, to reach thermal stability before or after the air pressure is reduced and functional tests and/or measureme

38、nts are made. The air pressure shall be maintained for the specified duration. The. air pressure shall be restored to normal. If required by the relevant specification, the rate of change of air pressure shall not exceed 10 kPa/min. 8. Recovery The specimen, if not otherwise specified in the relevan

39、t specification, shall remain under standard atmospheric conditions for testing for not less than 1 h nor more than 2 h. 9.
