26、 CABLES Part 2-51: Indoor cables Detail specification for simplex and duplex cables for use in cords for controlled environment 1 Scope This part of IEC 60794 is a detail specification. It gives detailed requirements for cables to be used in cords which are intended for use in a category C environme
27、nt, according to IEC 61753-1. They are characterized with temperature range between 10 C and +60 C. The fibre requirements for this specification are defined in IEC 60793-2-10 for multimode fibres and IEC 60793-2-50 for single-mode fibres. Some deviation to family specification IEC 60794-2-50 requir

The optical fibre contained in the cable shall meet the requirement

37、quirements of IEC 60794-2-50 or define additional requirements. 5.1 Wavelength The measuring wavelength for multimode cabled fibres is either 850 nm or 1 300 nm and shall be agreed between the customer and supplier. The measuring wavelength for single-mode cabled fibres is either 1 310 nm or 1 550 n
38、m or 1 625 nm and shall be agreed between the customer and suppiler. 5.2 No change in attenuation There shall be no change in attenuation for cabled multimode and single-mode fibres according to IEC 60794-1-1 (see Table 1). Table 1 No change in attenuation Fibre type Singlemode dB Multimode dB No ch

Cords terminated at each end and using semi tight or loose buffer as secondary coating are also defined
40、in this specification. These products may be cut and used for splicing requiring appropriate stripping. For tight buffer type, the buffer and primary coating are stripped off together to the optical fibre glass surface. For semi-tight and loose buffer, the buffer material is stripped off for a speci
