27、d sheet of definedflammability (vertical burning test), copper-clad1 ScopeThis part of IEC 61249 gives requirements for properties of epoxide woven E-glass laminatedsheet 0,05 mm up to 3,2 mm, of defined flammability (vertical burning test), copper-clad.The flammability rating is achieved through th

28、e use of brominated fire retardants containedas an integral part of the polymeric structure. The glass transition temperature is defined tobe 120 C minimum.Some property requirements may have several classes of performance. The class desiredmust be specified on the purchase order otherwise the defau

43、rs or inclusions of foreign particles under the foil.Raised areas caused by blisters or inclusions are not permitted.Raised areas that are impressions of defects in press plates are permitted to the followingextent:Class A and X material maximum height 15 g109m and maximum length 15 mmClass B and C

44、material maximum height 8 g109m and maximum length 15 mmClass D material maximum height 5 g109m and maximum length 15 mmClass A performance shall be in effect unless otherwise noted on the purchase order.6.1.5 Surface wavinessWhen examined in accordance to test method 2M12 of IEC 61189-2, the surfac

45、e waviness inboth the machine and cross-machine direction shall not exceed 5 g109m.6.2 Appearance of the unclad faceThe unclad face of a single-side clad sheet shall have the natural appearance resulting fromthe curing process. Small irregularities in colour are permitted. The gloss of the unclad fa

46、ceshall be that given by the press plate or release foil used. Variations of gloss due to the impactof pressure of gases released during the curing are permitted.6.3 Laminate thicknessThe laminate thickness may be ordered to include or exclude the copper foil contribution asspecified in the purchase

47、 order. As a general rule, laminates less than 0,8 mm are measuredexcluding copper and laminates greater than, or equal to, 0,8 mm are measured includingcopper. If the copper-clad laminate is tested in accordance with test method 2D01 ofIEC 61189-2, the thickness shall not depart from the nominal th

48、ickness by more than theappropriate value shown in table 2.
