20、ls of a fibre optic device. It is intended to simulate the radiation experienced at the surface of the earth. 1.2 General description This procedure is conducted in accordance with IEC 68-2-5, test Sa. The specimen is subjected to an irradiance of 1,120 kW/+ with a prescribed spectral distribution.
21、The test includes three methods differing in the irradiation cycle times. WARNING NOTE - Intended usem of solar radiaon tests are cautioned regarding the health hazards associated wmi tests of this nature. IEC 68-2-9, clause 9 deals with this subject. 1.3 Nonnative references The following normative

The preparation of the specimen shall be

26、ess, repeated as specified. This results in a total irradiation of 8.96 kWh/m* per diurnal cycle and approximates the most severe natural conditions. 3.1.2 Method B A 24 h cycle, with 20 h of irradiation and 4 h of darkness, repeated as specified. This results in a total irradiation of 22.4 kWh/m* p
27、er diurnal cycle. 3.1.3 Method C Continuous irradiation for specified duration. 3.2 Post-conditioning Upon completion of the test, the specimen shall be examined and all necessary observations recorded as specified in the detail specification. 4 Severity The severity consists of the duration of expo
28、sure. The severity shall be specified in the detail specification.
