18、igtailed 980/1 550 nm WWDM device must satisfy in order to be categorized as meeting the requirements of category C (controlled environments), as defined in Annex A of IEC 61753-1. The requirements cover devices with single-mode non-connector-ised pigtails. This device has three ports; 980 nm input,

The samples shall be terminated onto single-mode fibres as per IEC 60793-2-50. All tests shall be carried out over the optical wavelength 960 nm
31、to 1 000 nm and 1510 nm to 1580 nm, unless otherwise stated. 6 Test report Fully documented test reports and supporting evidence shall be prepared and be available for inspection as evidence that the tests have been carried out and complied with. The tests can be carried out separately. 7 Performanc
32、e requirements Test details and requirements are shown in the Table 1 below. 33、 990 nm, from 980 nm input port to common output port. Passband for 1 550 nm-band: 1 530 nm 1 570 nm, from 1 550 nm input port to common output port. This test shall be performed over 970 nm to 990 nm and 1 530 nm to 1 570 nm. Launch fibre length: 1,5 m. Launch conditions: the wavelength of the sour
34、ce shall be longer than cut-off wavelength of the fibre. Source: depolarised. Spectral width of light source shall be narrower than 1 nm. Tunable wavelength light source is recommended. The stability at the operating wavelength shall be better than 0,05 dB within 1 h. Detector system: linearity with
35、in 0,05 dB. Spectral response matched to source. 2 Wavelength isolation IEC 61300-3-7 18 dB Wavelength isolation is defined as the attenuation intended to reject over wavelength passband. This test shall be carried out for: from 980 nm input port to common output port by 1 530 nm 1 570 nm light sour
36、ce, from 1 550 nm output port to common output port by 970 nm 990 nm light source. Details: same as in test No. 1 6 BS EN 61753-084-2:2008No Tests Requirements Details 3 Directivity IEC 61300-3-20 40 dB Class R 50 dB Class U over the wavelength passband. This test shall be carried out for: from 980
37、nm input port to 1550 nm input port by 970 nm 990 nm and 1 530 nm 1 570 nm light source. Details: same as in test No. 1 All ports not under test shall be terminated to avoid unwanted reflections contributing to the measurement. Other conditions: the directivity shall be measured between any pair of
38、input or output ports. 4 Return loss IEC 61300-3-6 For 1 550 nm input port and common output port, 40 dB Class R 50 dB Class U by 1 550 nm light source. 44、2-14 During the test the attenuation limits of test No. 1 shall be met. Moreover, during and on completion of the test, the attenuation shall be within 0,3 dB of original value under ambient conditions. After the test the return loss limits of test No.4 shall be met. Power level increments on short
45、term test: defined by low power insertion loss of samples. Test wavelength on short term test: 980 nm 5 nm and 1 550 nm 5 nm. Duration of short term exposure: 3 h. Test wavelength(s) on long term test: dependant on actual operating wavelength or band. Duration of long term test: 500 h. 8 Cold IEC 61
46、300-2-17 During the test the minimum attenuation limits of test No.1 shall be met. During the test the return loss limits of test No.4 shall be met. Temperature: -10 C; Exposure duration: 96 h; Preconditioning procedure: standard atmospheric condition for 2 h; Measurement interval of attenuation: le
47、ss than 1 h during the first 16 h, and thereafter less than 24 h until completion of the test. Recovery procedure: allow specimen to return to 20 C in period not exceeding 2 h. 9 Dry heat - High temperature endurance IEC 61300-2-18 During the test the attenuation limits of test No.1 shall be met.
