33、dsystemsprovidingmultipledeliveriesfromeachfillingstroke. Thepistoncanbeoperatedmanually,electrically,pneumaticallyorhydraulically.Drivemechanism,pistonand cylindercanbeasingleunitorcanbeseparablebysimplehandactions,sothatdifferentpistonsandcylinders (changeoverunits)canbeusedwiththesamedrivemechani

Duringoperation,theaspirationtubedipsintothereservoircontainingthefluidtobedispensed.Afterthesystemhas beenprimedwithfluid,assuringthatitisfreeofanyair,thepistonaspiratesfluidbymovinginonedirectionand deliversthefluidtobemeasuredbymovingintheoppositedirection. Dispenserscanbeconstructedwithorwit
35、houtvalves.Themetrologicalcharacteristicsofdispensersaredependent on,amongotherthings,thematerialandworkmanshipoftheaspirationanddeliverytubingused.Thesuppliershall thereforedeliverthenecessarytubingwiththedispenserorsuggestorstatethecharacteristicsthetubingshallhave inordertomeetthemetrologicaldema
36、ndsplacedonthesystem. 5 Adjustment 5.1 Adispensershallbeadjustedbyitssupplierforthedelivery(Ex)ofitsvolumeandforthestandardreference temperatureof usinggrade 3waterasspecifiedinISO 3696. 5.2 Ifdispensersaredesignedtohavetheirfactorypresetadjustmentalteredbytheuser,thedesignshallprevent unintentional
37、readjustment.Iftheuserreadjuststhedispenser,itshallbeclearlyandunequivocallyindicatedonthe outsideofthedispenserthatreadjustmenthasbeeneffected,forexamplebymeansofamark,abrokenseal,ora labelaffixedbytheuser. 5.3 Typetestingoftheadjustmentshallsatisfytheperformancerequirementsspecifiedinclause 6whent
38、he dispenseristestedinaccordancewithISO 86556. 6 Metrologicalperformancerequirements Theconformitytest(typeevaluation)specifiedinISO 86556evaluatesthetotalsystemofthedispensercomprising thedriveand,ifapplicable,thechangeoverunit(seeclause 4)includingaspirationanddeliverytubing.The conformitytestisca
39、rriedoutinaccordancewithISO 86556by thesupplierpriortotheissuanceofasuppliersdeclarationofconformity,or atesthouseorotherauthorizedbodypriortotheissuanceofacertificateofconformity.
