However, attention is drawn to the fact that during the development of this European Standard, the UK voted aga
5、inst its approval as a European Standard.One aim of this international standard was to harmonize the requirements and test methods for lifejackets for seagoing ships with those of the IMO (International Maritime Organisation), the governing body for this type of lifejacket. Due to revisions to the I
6、MO requirements, the content of those requirements no longer harmonize with the requirements of this standard.
