Becausespallingiscausedbythelackofa

Preparethetestsolutionbydissolving10gofantimonytrichloride,SbCl 3 ,in1000mlofdistilledordemineralized waterandstircontinuously. NOTE Hydrochloricacidandawhiteprecipitateconsistingofamixtureofantimoniousoxychloride,

27、SbOCl,andantimony trioxide,Sb 2 O 3 ,willbeformed.Theprecipitateisanintegralpartofthetestsolution. Antimonytrichlorideishygroscopic.Thereforekeepitinsealedcontainers.Donotusemoistorwetantimony trichloride. Prepareafreshsolutionforeachtestonthesamedayasitistobeused. 7.2Cleaning solution Thecleaningso

28、lutionshallbeasodium nalkyl(C 10 C 13 )benzenesulphonatewithaconcentrationofactive substanceof0,1%dissolvedindistilledordemineralizedwater. 8Specimen 8.1Selection Thespecimenmaybeacommerciallyavailablearticleorapartofit.Alternatively,itmaybeaspeciallyprepared specimeninaccordancewithISO13804. 8.2Pre

29、paration Prepareatleastonecutedgeofthespecimenimmediatelypriortothetest.Theanglebetweenthecutedgeand thesurfaceofthespecimenshallbeapproximately90 O .Ifrequired,refinishthecutedgewithafile(6.6)wherethe filingdirectionshallbefromenameltometal.Wetthecutedgecompletelywiththetestsolution(7.1)alongitswho

30、le length. Scoreacrossalongthewholespecimensurfaceusingthesteelneedle(6.7)suchthatitextendstothebasemetal. 31、ion(7.2)atatemperatureofabout40 o Cforapproximately3min.Rinse itintapwaterandthenindistilledordemineralizedwater. 9Procedure Thequantityoftestsolutiondependsonthesizeofthespecimenandshallbeatleast3mlforeachcm 2 ofsurface area. Immersethespecimencompletelyinthetestsolution(7.1)inabeakerorplasticvesse

32、lofsuitablesize(6.3)for 20h,suspendingthespecimenbyaplasticorglasshookorbymeansofastand(6.4).Duringthistimetheambient temperatureshallbebetween18 O Cand28 O C. Thetestsolution(7.1)shallnotcomeintocontactwithanymetalotherthanthespecimen. Afterthe20htestperiod,takethespecimenoutofthetestsolution(7.1),

33、rinseitinwaterandcleanitwiththe viscosesponge(6.5)toremoveloosefragmentsofenamel.Thendrythespecimeninair. 10 Expressionofresults Examineeachspecimenvisuallyfromadistanceof250mm.Describethefollowingtypesofdamageinthetest report(seeclause11): a) anyspallareawherethebasismetalisvisible,thatislocatedmor

34、ethan3mmfromtheedgeorscoremark, andthatislongerthan25mm; b) anyspallareaonthespecimensurfacenottouchinganedgeorascoremark,thatisgreaterthan10mm 2 ; c) morethanonespallarea(evenifindividualareasarelessthan10mm 2 )perdm 2 ofthesurfacearea, disregardingpinholes. 11Test report Thetestreportshallincludet
