23、 other designatoryproperties. In order to giveusers time to switch from ISO 15103-1 to ISO 28941-1, ISO15103-1 will remain in force for a number of years after publication of ISO 28941-1. 25、s,which may be used as the basis for specifications. 1.2 The types of PPE plastic are differentiated from each other bya classification system based on appropriate levels of the designatorypropertiesa) temperature of deflection under load b) melt volume-flow rate c) Charpy notched impact strength d)

26、 flammabilityand oninformation about basic polymer parameters, intended application and/or method of processing,important properties, additives, colorants, fillers and reinforcing materials.1.3 This part of ISO 28941 is applicable to all PPE materials, including those modified with polystyrene orpol

27、yamide or other materials.It applies to materials ready for normal use in the form of powder, granules or pellets and to materialsunmodified or modified by colorants, additives, fillers, etc.1.4 It is not intended to imply that materials having the same designation necessarily have the sameperforman

This part of ISO 28941 does not provide engineering data, performance data or data onprocessing conditions which may be required to specifya material for a particularapplication and/or method of processing. If such additional properties are required, they shall be determined in accordance with t

32、tics is based on the following standardized pattern: Designation Identity block Individual-item block Description block (optional) International Standard number block Data block1 Data block2 Data block3 Data block 4 Data block 5 The designation consists of an optional descriptionblock, reading “Ther

33、moplastics”, and an identity blockcomprising the International Standard number and an individual-item block. For unambiguous coding, the individual-item block is subdivided into five data blocks comprising the following information: Data block1: Identification of the plastic by its symbol PPE in acc

34、ordance wit h ISO 1043-1 andinformation about the composition of the polymer (see 3.2). Data block 2: Position 1: intended application or method of processing (see 3.3). Positions 2 to 8: important properties, additives and supplementary information (see 3.3). Data block 3: Designatory properties (s

35、ee 3.4). Data block 4: Fillers or reinforcing materials and their nominal content (see 3.5). Data block5: For the purposes of specifications, a fifth data block maybe added containing additionalinformation. The first character of the individual-item block shall be a hyphen. The data blocks shall be

36、separated fromeach other by commas. If a data block is not used, this shall be indicated by doubling the separation sign, i.e. by two commas (,). 3.2Data block 1In this data block, after the hyphen, poly(phenylene ether) materials are identified by the symbol PPE, in accordance with ISO1043-1, follo

37、wed by a hyphen and a code-number giving additional information on the polymer, as specified in Table 1. 43、three-figure code-number (see 3.4.2), the melt volume-flow rate by a two-figure code-number (see 3.4.3), the impact strength by a two-figure code-number (see 3.4.4) and the flammabilitybya combination of code-letters and code-numbers indicating the flammability category (see 3.4.5). The code-numbers

44、 are separated fromeach other by hyphens. If a property value falls on or near a range limit, the manufacturer shall state which range will designate thematerial. If subsequent individual testvalues lie on, or on either side of, the limit because of manufacturingtolerances, the designation is not af

45、fected. NOTE Not all combinations of the values of the designatory properties may be possible for currently availablepolymers. 3.4.2Temperature of deflection under loadThe temperature of deflection under load shall be determined in accordance with ISO 15103-2.The possible values of the temperature o

46、f deflection under load at 1,8 MPa and 0,45 MPa are divided into17 ranges, each represented by a letter followed by a three-figure code- number as specified in Table 3 and Table 4, respectively. The measured value shall be rounded off to the nearest whole number and this whole number taken as the code-number. It will usually be a two-figure number. In cases when it is a single-figure number, the code-number shall be zero followed by the single-figure number. EXAMPLE If the measured melt volume-flow rate is 5,1 cm3 /10 min, the code-number will be 05.3.4.4 Charpy
