7、he purpose of this recommendation is to define the required simultaneous and alternate use of (i) basic telecommunication services and (ii) supplementary services. In this definition the basic requirements for the first implementation and the requirements of an evolution are distinguished. 1. BASIC
8、REQUIREMENTS 1.1 Simultaneous and alternate use of basic telecommunication services 1.1.1 PrinciDle As a general rule simultaneous use of basic telecommunication services must be in line with the access capability of the mobile station as specified in GSM 04.03. 1.1.2 Simultaneous use It is not poss
9、ible that at a given time the user can use more than one of the Basic telecommunication services according to Rec. GSM 02.02 and GSM 02.03. As an exception of this rule the short message service (point to point) can be used with one other Basic telecommunication service. NOTE: The user may select th
10、e Basic telecommunication service for every communication, which he establishes and releases independently. 1.1-3 Alternate use within a communication There are GSM PLMN basic telecommunication services comprising alternate use of different bearer capabilities within a communication (see Rec. GSM 02
11、02 and GSM 02.03). When these services are requested, the type of service is indicated in the call request or the call offering together with the initial mode of usage, During the call, changing from one mode of usage to the other is possible. NOTE : When the speech followed by data is requested, t
