NOTE: High voltage automatic electrostatic sy
2、stems, installed in an appropriate isolated spray booth, require additional precautions as recommendedbythe vendor of the equipment supplied. Paint spray booths used for ESTA (BEEiR) automatic electrostatic paint sprey machines require a special fire detection and extinguishing system resulting from
3、 the particular type ofpaintatomisingunitandthe use of asinglehighvoltage sqp4 forallsprayguns. Thespecialfire protection for these units should be submitted to the Corporate Fire Control Engineer for review and approval prior to installation. 2. GEImmu 2.1 Many advantages sre recognized as being a
4、by-product of electrostatic - paint application in addition to the obvious saving of paint. Plants using the electrostatic equipment report better coverage with more uniform application, better wrap-emund qualities, and generally improved paint department performance. 2.2 With the reduced fluid and
5、air pressures required (recommended starting fluid flow rate of amroz this wS.l cause dsmageto the b and to the painted surface. It is important that hanging racks be properly maintained to assure good electrical contact with parts being painted and the conveyor. AU parts should be painted in prescr
6、ibed racks. Plants will have to assure themselves that they have sufficient racks for repair parts, and discontinue the common practice of loosely hanging of parts to be repaired on jury rigs. 7、nders, and small parts for the entire length of each paint conveyor. The check is to be conducted at a conwnient location shead of each spray booth. A power pack and spray gun are used for this test. (See Sketch 6.) For convenience, one of the spare power packs should be modified by wiring-out the a
8、ir flow switch. By doing this, only the ll0 volt power supply is required to make the test. Charge the hanging parts with the spray gun.
