3、Trolley Chain Conveyors3. GENERAL: The design of the safety devices must comply with the latestedition of the referenced standards. In those instances where Fordstandards exceed the referenced standards, Ford standards will apply. Itis the responsibility of the supplier to determine that all standar

4、dsare met or request a waiver of requirements if necessary. Any waivermust be approved by the requisitioning activity.4. REQUIREMENTS: Safety devices shall be placed on all conveyor trolleytrack inclines or declines whenever the total elevation change equals orexceeds 5 feet (1.5 m).4.1 NUMBER REQUI

5、RED: A minimum of two devices are required when theelevations equals or exceeds 5 feet (1.5 m). The total number ofsafety devices will depend on the load, the length and steepness ofslope.4.2 LOCATION: The first safety device shall be placed on the slopedtrack at a distance of 18 to 24 inches (457 t

6、o 610 mm) from thelower tangent on inclines or from the upper tangent on declines.5. ANTI-BACKUP/ANTI-RUNAWAY ASSEMBLY (Inclines/Declines):5.1 CONSTRUCTION: A safety device shall be securely fastened to theconveyor track designed to prevent a fully loaded trolley and chainassembly from running backw

7、ard/forward in the event of a chainbreakage.The anti-runaway safety device shall be designed to stop the trolleyand to activate an electrical signal to cut the power to theconveyor drive motor and activate a signal light at a locationspecified by the requisitioning activity.5.2 SOUND EMISSION: The device shall be so designed with sounddeadening and wear resistant material to reduce noise to a minimum.
