4、veyor system design must comply with the latest editionof the referenced standards. In those instances where Ford standardsexceed the referenced standards, Ford standards will apply. It is theresponsibility of the supplier to determine that all standards are met orrequest a waiver of requirements if
5、 necessary. Any waiver must beapproved by the requisitioning activity.4. CONSTRUCTION:4.1 COMPONENT PARTS: All component parts subject to wear and/orreplacement shall be bolted to facilitate maintenance and erection.4.2 GUARDS: Removable metal guards shall be provided for all movingparts and for cha

Guards shall be fabricated from aminimum of 16 gauge (1.5 mm) material or from expanded metalwith 3/4 inch (19 mm) maximum openings.4.3 DRIP PANS: Steel drip pans fabricated from 16 gauge (1.5 mm)material (minimum) shall be provided as required.4.4 PAINT: All surfaces except for machined

8、 END-OF-TRAVEL DETECTION DEVICES: Slat conveyors with manual un-loading require “end-of-travel detection devices“ to preventaccidental discharge of loads.5. ELECTRICAL: Electric power shall be 480 Volt, 60-hertz, 3-phase.Conveyor drives shall be equipped with “instantaneous trip“ overloadrelays, app
9、roved by the requisitioning activity.Relays shall be wired so that the conveyor can be restarted only from apush button located at the control center of control panel.6. PULLEYS AND ROLLERS: Provisions shall be provided for tracking andadjustment.7. SIDE RAILS: Side rails shall be provided unless otherwise specified bythe requisitioning activity.8. EMERGENCY STOPS: Emergency stop buttons or pull stop cables shall beprovided along all working areas as specified by requisitioning activity.
