2、SYMBOLS AND SPECIFICATIONS 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 An amended version of ISO 2553:1992 (Welded, brazed and soldered joints - Symbolic representation on drawings) has been adopted for representing welding on Engineering Drawings. The amendments are detailed under 3. REQUIREMENTS below. 1.2 ISO 4063:1998 (
3、Welding, brazing, soldering and braze welding of metals - Nomenclature of processes and reference numbers for symbolic representation on drawings) has been adopted for representing the process on Engineering Drawings in conjunction with ISO 2553:1992. 1.3 Other Standards referenced in ISO 2553:1992
4、and ISO 4063:1998 have not been adopted by FAO unless specifically referenced in the Ford Motor Company Engineering CAD & Drafting Standards. 1.4 On a complex joint involving multiple welds it may be simpler to show a separate detailed view of the joint and welds required. 1.5 The fork and process n

8、eference line if the weld (weld face) is on the other side of the joint. 3.4.3 The dashed line can be drawn either above or below the continuous line. 3.4.4 The options shown in Figure D3.3 will be used. 10、” of the joint is acceptable only if the preferred method necessitates creating extra views to show it. 3.6 SPOT, PROJECTION AND SEAM WELDING 3.6.1 Weld Finish 3.6.1.1 The finish for spot welds, seam welds, stitch welds and rollerspot welds can be designated as class 1, 2 or 3. 3.6.1.2 If finish cla
11、ss is required, the appropriate number will be placed after the process number and separated by a solidus (/) as shown in Figure D3.4. Where no class of finish is specified, class 3 finish applies. 3.6.1.3 If finish class is required without showing a process number then the process number will be r
12、eplaced with a dash (-), e.g., -/2. 3.6.1.4 Definition of the weld finish classes is contained in the relevant engineering specification. If no engineering specification is designated then a definition for the classes of finish may be found in the Production Equipment Engineering Assembly, Vehicle O
13、perations Welding Standards. 3.6.1.5 If required, further information may be shown following the surface finish and separated from it by a solidus (/), e.g., 21/2/RH ONLY. 16、ECTION WELD LOCATION IDENTIFICATION 3.7.1.2.1 The individual welds may be assigned alpha-numeric identification to provide a means of locating the welds on the drawings. 4 SPECIFICATIONS 4.1 WELDING SPECIFICATION 4.1.1 When welding is designated on an Engineering Drawing, the cross-functional engine
17、ering team will determine the specific Engineering Specification which applies.
