2、PRODUCT DEFINITION DATA PRACTICES 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 The CAD practices of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME Y14.412003 have been adopted for the annotation of engineering CAD models. 1.2 Other Standards referenced in ASME Y14.412003 have not been adopted by Ford Motor Company unless
3、specifically referenced in the Ford Motor Company Engineering CAD & Drafting Standards. 2 DEFINITIONS 2.1 Resolved Dimension. A dimension indicated on a 2D drawing or annotated to a CAD model that has been rounded to a significant value. 3 REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Resolved Dimensions. Where dimensions are p
4、laced on a drawing in a DtMC part or annotated to the CAD model in a CtM part, these dimensions will be considered to be resolved dimensions that have precedence over the queried model values unless they are indicated as reference dimensions. Note: This policy should not be construed as allowing inc
5、omplete data in CAD models. The designer should make every effort to model draft, fillets, and other features within stated dimensional limits. See Standard G-1 para 3.1.6 3.2 CAD MODEL BASIC Note.
