2、RAL PURPOSE ES2-M2A64-A 1. SCOPE This specification lists brass alloys that are suitable for the fabrication of parts requiring the particular properties of brass, such as corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity or electrical conductivity; but which do not require the properties of a specific typ
3、e. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released to obtain part print stability by allowing latitude in alloy selection for manufacturing, consistent with engineering drawing requirements. It is recognized that a given part may be produced by any one of several methods and that a single brass is no
4、t suitable for all methods. The brass alloys listed, are considered as optional for the part to which this specification is applied. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Product

6、TM B 21 These listed brass alloys may be used providing they produce a part suitable for the intended purpose. It is not intended that a vendor use a large number of different alloys in producing a part, but to confine himself to a minimum variety for a particular run. 3.2 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES Specific mechanical properties shall be as shown on the engineering drawing.
