SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a ferritic, corrosion resistant steel. It is non-hardening by heat treatment, thus enhancing weldability. The low rate of work ha

APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material to be used for the manufacture of muffler and exhaust system components. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualifi

Other desired finishes are to be specified on en

The surface shall be sufficiently free from scale and oxides to ensure suitability for blanking, deep-drawing and forming on high speed tube mills without causing excessive tool wear or breakage. Surface scratches, nicks and gouges are acceptable but shall be kept minimal. ENGINE

8、or high frequency processes to yield reasonably ductile weld joints. 3.6 BEND TEST The material shall not crack when subjected to the following tests: Test Method: Bend 25 mm x 200 mm sheared edge specimen 135 along the 25 mm dimension at the center of the specimen. Insert the bend specimen in a han
9、d vise, bend section in jaws of vise, and complete specimen bend to 180. Remove from vise and examine specimen along bend for evidence of cracks. 4.
