SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a grease consisting of a uniform blend of refined mineral oil, bentonite thickener, zinc oxide, tetra-fluoroe
3、thylene, and organic phosphate additives. This grease shall be a homogeneous product, free from oil separation, abrasive fillers, and non-corrosive to the lubricated parts in service. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for grease used as a lubricant between the rod and seal of
4、 the power steering cylinder. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 MOISTURE, max 0.25% (ASTM D 95) 3.2 ADDITIVES, max 45.0% (ASTM D 12
5、8) 3.2.1 Bentonite 5 - 8% 3.2.2 Zinc Oxides 1 - 3% 3.2.3 Tetra-Fluoroethylene Powder 14 - 16% (7 micron average) 3.2.4 Organic Phosphate Ester, max 2.0% calculated as phosphorous Shall consist of a long chain alcohol ester of which 90% shall be the caprylic alcohol ester. 3.3 DROPPING POINT, min 255 C (ASTM D 566) 3.4 MINERAL OIL REQUIREMENTS (PLUS PHOSPHATE ESTER) 3.4.1 Viscosity at 37.8 C, min 64.6 mm2/s (ASTM D 445 & D 446) 3.4.2 Pour Point, max - 35 C (ASTM D 97)
