SCOPE This specification defines the quality of painted finish required for passenger chassis parts, unitized underbody added parts, and truck frames in black or special color when specifie

3、d. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for a finish specified where uniform coverage and adequate appearance are necessary. It is specified for truck frames, master brake cylinders, passenger chassis assemblies and for chassis and unitized underbody added parts. 3. REQUIREMENTS

4、 Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 PAINT TYPE One of the

5、 following paint types must be used: Air dry, pigmented, modified asphaltum type black enamel or approved alternate. Air dry enamel or lacquer color coat. Baked water emulsion paint - black 3.3 FILM THICKNESS, min 13 m On parts that have been heat treated and on parts having rounding surfaces, the 1

6、3 m film thickness measurements should be made with a steel panel. Process a clean smooth surfaced 75 x 200 mm steel panel through the production system, and when completely dry, determine thickness at a point 75 mm from the bottom. 3.4 CLEANING All surfaces to be painted must be free from oil, grea

7、se, rust and other foreign materials. Phosphating or prime coating parts with a compatible primer prior to top coating is allowed. 8、mation given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 APPLICABLE PROCESS STANDARDS Truck frames, master brake cylinders, passenger car chassis assemblies, chassis parts and brackets and other parts outside engine compartment.
