APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as gasketing for brake vacuum boosters. Grad

3、e 1 Standard sealing applications Grade 2 Superior sealing with thin sections 3. REQUIREMENTS (Both grades, except as noted) 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1

4、111-A). 3.1 TEST SPECIMEN 3.1.1 Density (ASTM D 1564) Grade 1 27 - 35 kg/m3Grade 2 43 - 51 kg/m33.1.2 Tensile Strength, min 124 kPa (ASTM D 1564, Die A) 3.1.3 Elongation, min (ASTM D 1564, Die A) Grade 1 300% Grade 2 250% 3.1.4 Tear Resistance, min 0.5 kN/m (ASTM D 1564) 3.1.5 Compression Set, max 1

6、) Test part samples as received or die cut 100 x 100 mm specimens. 3.1.7 Odor No offensive odor, as received and during and after the deterioration test (para 3.1.6). 3.1.8 Cold Flexibility No cracking Test Method: Condition 3 specimens, 50 x 200 mm, for a minimum of 5 h in a cold chamber maintained

Without removing from chamber, bend the specimens 180 over a temperature conditioned mandrel equivalent in diameter to the thickness of the foam. 3.1.9 25% Compression - Deflection (ASTM D 1564, 100 x 100 mm, samples, direct load reading) Grade 1 22 - 44 N Grade 2 36 - 58 N 3.1.10 Cell St

8、ructure, min 20 cells/10 mm Shall have a homogeneous, open, fine cell structure, with no large voids or solid spots. It shall be free from internal defects such as cold shuts, folds, laps, and tears. 3.1.11 Ozone Rating 0 (FLTM BP 101-01) 3.1.12 Color Charcoal 3.2 QUALITY CONFORMANCE - PARTS (Both g
