4、olvent is any solvent with an aggregate of more than 20% of its total volume composed of the chemical compounds classified below or which exceeds any of the following individual percentage composition limitations, referred to the total volume of solvent: A combination of hydrocarbons, alcohols, alde
5、hydes, esters or ketones having an olefinic or cycloolefinic type of unsaturation - 5%. A combination of aromatic compounds with eight or more carbon atoms to the molecule except ethylbenzene - 8%. A combination of ethylbenzene, ketones having branched hydrocarbon structures, trichloroethylene or to
6、luene - 20%. Whenever any organic solvent or any constituent of an organic solvent may be classified from its chemical structure into more than one of the above groups of organic compounds, it shall be considered as a member of the most reactive group, that is, that group having the least allowable
7、percent of the total volume of solvents. Conformance to this requirement is mandatory for all new materials submitted for engineering approval
9、and for all production material supplied to the Company and subsequently stored under the above conditions. This is not required as a routine control test. 3.2 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS Prepare panels according to FLTM BI 103-04, using unpolished Bondrite 40 steel panels available from the Parker C
10、o. Control panels using current approved production material will be concurrently prepared and tested per Para 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5. Dip or spray to thickness of 1 mil. 3.2.2 Bake Schedules 1 min at 343 C to achieve a peak metal temperature of 224 C. 3.2.3 Aging Bake panels shall be aged 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C, before running adhesion or resistance tests. 3.3 APPEARANCE The primer shall bake out to a uniform film, showing no pinho

Material must be equal to or better than the m

ATF . MTF . power steering fluid. 3.6 TOXICITY The materi
16、al shall contain no benzene or chlorinated hydrocarbon compounds, or have an obnoxious or objectionable odor. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 COVERAGE, at 1 mil 643.8 ft2/gal (14.1
17、m2/l) 5.2 FLAMMABILITY This material represents a potential fire hazard. The Manufacturing Engineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and the Safety Units of its presence in the Plant to assure that proper fire precautions are provided. The location in which it is used or stored shall be included in the notifications. 5.3 CORROSION PROTECTION, 60 Cycles APG This material must be equal to or better than the master corrosion color photographs on file with the Chassis Materials Engineering Section.
