APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as a thermo-insulating tape around air conditioning re

REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production
4、 Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 THICKNESS 0.115 - 0.140 in (ASTM D 1000, except use 1 in (2.92 - 3.56 mm) (25 mm) diameter foot and 1 lb (0.45 kg) loading) 3.3 NEEDLE PENETRATION (ASTM D 1321, 100 g total load) 3.3.1 As Received 3.5 - 5.0 mm 3.3.2 Aged 3 Days at 70 +/- 1 C, min 3.3 mm 3.4 FLEXIBILI

Also, it shall not dry to a degree that it will not adhere to metal or to itself. 3.5.2 Aged 2 h at 12
7、1 +/- 3 C Shall not drip, disintegrate or unwrap through loss of adhesion. Test Method: The tape shall be wound, overlapping itself on a 1/2 in (13 mm) steel mandrel and exposed to the heat in a vertical position. 3.6 STORAGE STABILITY Shall retain its flexibility when stored for extended periods of
8、 time (60 - 90 days) at temperatures ranging from 10 - 49 C. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 COMPOSITION The following composition has been found satisfactory: Rubberized Asphalt 54% Cork (Virgin Granulated) 45% Other Fillers 1%
