SCOPE This specification defines the performance requirements for ornaments usually consisting of a bezel and a decorated insert. 2. APPLICATION These performance requirements were release
3、d originally for exterior body ornaments having a jewelry appearance. Various decorative materials can be utilized to obtain the desired styling effects. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Materia
4、l suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material lab
5、oratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 APPEARANCE Shall match the approved Styling master. 3.4 ADHESION No delamination of layers or insert(s) from the bezel is permitted after exposure to any

14、er 12 months minimum exposure at 5 facing south in the Miami, Florida area, there shall be: No evidence of crazing, checking, warping or other surface degradation. No greater degree of fading, dulling, or chalking of subsurface colors than that exhibited by the sample originally approved by the affe
15、cted Product Engineering office. Blotchy or streaky appearance shall be considered failure. 3.8 SAMPLING Acceptance testing for conformance to Thermal Cycle - Corrosion (para 3.5) and Weathering Resistance (para 3.6) will be run at the frequency specified in Appendix D of Q-101. Suppliers achieving
16、the Q1 rating will be made exempt from this requirement. 3.9 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved und
17、er this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notification of the Company, further instructio
18、ns will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested. Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identifi
19、ed in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to the Company must have prior approval. Certain materials subcontracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include materials criti
20、cal to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplie
21、r shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification. 23、C.A.S.S. test per FLTM BQ 5-1 1 h rinse and dry then examine. 5.2 THERMAL SHOCK - TEST SEQUENCE Method 1 (refer to FLTM BI 7-3) 4 h water immersion 4 h minimum exposure at -30 +/- 1 C Direct steam blast on scribed X at 45 angle 50 mm - 75 mm from panel for 15 s minimum Method 2 Place one ornament/insert in sufficient deionized water to cover completely. Freeze for four (4) hours at -30 C. Place ice block/insert into large container of hot (50 C) water.
