SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a high durometer (rigid) extrusion grade vinyl compounded to resist deterioration under exterior exposure conditions. 2. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 APPEARANCE The color, p

7、es, Inc. 3.8 RESISTANCE TO ARTIFICIAL WEATHERING (FLTM BO 101-01) Shall not stain, exhibit color tone change, or change in hue in accordance with rating 5 of the AATCC chart for measuring transference of color after 1000 h exposure. Production materials shall exhibit weathering resistance qualities
8、equal to or better than the master sample (as approved for production by the Textile Engineering Section, BEPE Materials Engineering Department) on file in the Textile Engineering Section. Note: Where applicable (No. 4 convertible top bow components) the material shall show no evidence of cracking w
9、hen bent 180 (3.1 rad) around a 10 in (250 mm) diameter mandrel at 23 +/- 2 C after the 1000 h exposure period. 3.9 RESISTANCE TO FADE (FLTM BN 1-1) Shall not stain, exhibit color tone change, or change in hue in accordance with rating 5 of the AATCC chart for measuring transference of color after 1

Production materials shall exhibit lightfastness qualities equal to or better than the master sample (as approved for production by the Textile Engineering Section, BEPE Materials Engineering Department) on file in the Textile Engineering Section. Note: Where applicable (No. 4 conver
11、tible top bow components) the material shall show no evidence of cracking when bent (3.1 rad) around a 10 in (250 mm) diameter mandrel at 23 +/- 2 C after the 1000 h exposure period. 3.10 HEAT STABILITY Extrusions made of this material shall show no more than 1.8% linear shrinkage and no more discol
12、oration than the master sample (as approved for production by the Textile Engineering Section, BEPE Materials Engineering Department) on file in the Textile Engineering Section. Test Method: A minimum of three 12 in (300 mm) long test specimens having 10 in (250 mm) bench marks shall be exposed in an air circulating oven maintained at 82 +/- 3 C for 7 days. Remove the samples, allow them to cooled to 23 +/- 2 C, examine for discoloration and measure the shrinkage between bench marks to the nearest 1/64 in (0.4 mm).
