Test Method: A straight specimen shall be subjected to a tempera
2、ture of -40 C for 3 h. While still at this low temperature, the cable shall be wrapped 180 around a 3 in (76 mm) mandrel, at a uniform rate of one turn in 10 s. The insulation shall be removed for a distance of 1 in (25 mm) from each end of the specimen and the specimen subjected to the dielectric t

4、 shall be used. A 24 in (610 mm) sample shall be suspended taut in a horizontal position within a partial enclosure which allows a flow of sufficient air for complete combustion but is free from drafts. The top of a 2 in (51 mm) gas flame with an inner cone one-third its height shall then be applied
5、 to the center of the suspended cable. The time of application of the flame shall be 15 s. After removal of the bunsen burner flame, the specimen shall not continue to burn for more than 30 s. 3.3.7 Abrasion Resistance, min 18 in (457 mm) of tape and still pass dielectric test. Test Method: Using we

The resistance of the finished resistor assembly when measured through the range of -40 C to 93 C shall not vary more than +/- 0.01 Ohm from its original value measured at
10、 22 +/- 3 C. 3.4.4 Performance Test A resistor assembly shall be capable of carrying 3A d-c, for 1000 h at 66 +/- 1 C without any evidence of deterioration. After the specimen is cooled to 22 +/- 3 C, it is wrapped around a 3 in (76 mm) mandrel at the rate not to exceed one complete turn/min and then subjected to the dielectric test in para 3.3.2. At the conclusion of the performance test, the measured resistance of the specimen at 22 +/- 3 C shall not vary more than +/- 0.01 Ohm from its original value.
