APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used to prevent the entry of moisture and dirt into body interiors t
3、hrough holes or joints that are not visible after final assembly. This material is not recommended for use on areas where bimetallic corrosion and subsequent premature failure of the barrier is of importance. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and p

8、teel panel, and a painted steel panel. The assembled samples shall be cycled as follows: 24 h at 80 +/- 3 C 24 h at 38 +/- 3 C and 98 +/- 2% relative humidity 24 h at -29 +/- 1 C After 2 cycles plus an additional week at 80 +/- 3 C, there shall be no indication of staining, fogging, loss of adhesion
9、 or curling. 3.10 MIGRATION STAIN None Test Method: The tape shall be applied to steel panels as listed below per FLTM BI 103-02, Method “C“ using primer ESB-M6J49 and enamel ESB-M32J100 (1619A) and subjected to 96 h in the Fluorescent Sunlight cabinet described in FLTM BO 115-01. 3.10.1 Preparation
10、 of Test Panels Apply tape to phosphated panel, then prime and top coat. Apply tape to primed surface then apply top coat. Apply tape to surface of a finished panel which has been phosphated, primed and top coated. 3.11 PAINTING Panels prepared according to 3.10.1 shall meet the following requiremen
11、ts. 3.11.1 Adhesion No flaking or chipping (FLTM BI 106-01) 3.11.2 Salt Spray, min 240 h (FLTM BI 103-01) No failure by blistering, rusting or more than 1/8 in (3.2 mm) rust or blister creepage from a line scribed to the bare steel on panels prepared according to para. 3.10.1 3.11.3 Humidity Resistance, min 240 h (FLTM BI 104-02, Procedure “A“) No paint blistering, peeling, or loss of adhesion.
