SCOPE These specifications define the performance requirements for a phosphate plus
3、 oil coating. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for parts such as hood hinges and hood locks. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Material
4、s (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COATING (Permissible Alternates) 3.2.1 Zinc Phosphate or Manganese Phosphate 3.2.2 Zinc Phosphate or Manganese Phosphate, Inorganic Salt Sealed. 3.3 COATING WEIGHT 1000 mg/ft (10.8 g/m) min 3.4 ADHESION There shall be no chipping of the coating from the metal when the coating
5、 is scratched with a knife blade held at a 90 angle to the surface. 3.5 SALT SPRAY RESISTANCE (ASTM B 117) 3.5.1 ESB-M3P4-A No red rust in 72 h minimum. 3.5.2 ESB-M3P5-A No red rust in 96 h minimum. 3.5.3 ESB-M3P17-A No red rust in 120 h minimum.
