、0-A INACTIVE ESB-M4D240-B 1. SCOPE: The materials defined by this specification are Type 11 nylon coatings. Two types are defined as follows: Type I Standard particle size for fluidized bed coating. Type II Fine particle size suitable for electrostatic deposition. 2. APPLICATION: This specification
、was released originally for materials used to provide tough, low friction, corrosion and abrasion resistant coatings with good adhesion, for parts such as metal window guide clips (Type I) and spring sleeves on accelerator cables (Type II). 3. REQUIREMENTS: All requirements apply to both Type I and
、Type II unless otherwise noted. If no type is specified on drawing, Type I is understood. All tests are applicable to actual parts. However, when tests cannot be performed due to part size or shape limitations, laboratory panels may be substituted. Test panels, 4 x 4 in (100 x 100 mm) shall be proce
、ssed concurrently with metal parts and shall be representative of parts with respect to substrate, treatment, method of application, baking schedule, and film thickness. 3.1 SUBSTRATES As specified on engineering drawing. 3.2 SUBSTRATE SURFACE PREPARATION Parts shall be degreased, chemically cleaned
、 or shot blasted and phosphated prior to applying a primer system which can cure in the absence of oxygen. Other surface preparations may be used if approved by the affected product engineering materials office. ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION ESB-M4D240-A ESB-M4D240-B Page 2 of 6 3.3 BASE RESIN

Attach the wire or non-stretch cord to the steel cube, through the pully on the back edge of the plate, and into the jaw of the Instron unit. Place the 5 lb (2.3 kg) weight on the steel cube, start test with no tension, and
