、f 2 IONOMER (ETHYLENE) MOLDING COMPOUND, FOAMED ESB-M4D330-A5 GLASS FILLED - BLACK - ZINC/SODIUM TYPE EXTERIOR GRADE NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is based on compositions of ionomer (metallic salt of a vinyl carboxylic acid copolymer of ethylene)
、that are UV stabilized, foamed and contain glass fiber reinforcements. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for exterior applications such as foamed guards, tow blocks and foamed bumper laminates. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppli
、ers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MOLDING COMPOUND 3.4.1 Melt Flow Rate 1.0 - 2.0 g/10 minutes (ISO 1133/ASTM D 1238 190 C, 2.16 kg) 3.4.2 Glass Fiber Content, by Weight 10 - 16% Test Method: Ash samples at 650 C
、for 60 min. Cool slowly to 23 +/- 2 C and weigh the residue. Boil the glass fibers and filler residue in a 5% by volume hydrochloric acid solution for 15 min. Rinse the glass fibers several times with distilled water before drying in an oven for 2 h at 121 +/- 2 C. After cooling, weigh the crucibles
、 and calculate the percent glass fibers follows: Weight % Glass Fibers = W2/W1 x 100 Where: W1 = Original Weight of Specimen W2 = Weight of Washed Glass Fiber Residue 3.5 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.5.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified all tests shall be carried out on injection m
