SCOPEThe materials defined by these specific
3、ations are black waterborne chemicalcoat ings, autodeposited, and associated additive components. TheESB-M64J 27-A1 coating is formulated to cure at 100 C minimum metaltemp erature, and has zero V.O.C. (Volatile Organic Content). TheESB-M64J 27-B1 coating is formulated to cure at 160 C minimum metal
4、tempe rature and has a VOC of less than 0.24 kg/L. Both coatings possessexce llent corrosion resistance, adhesion, flexibility, and hardness.Application is by immersion.2. APPLICATIONThese specifications were relea sed originally for use on seat tracks, leafsprin gs and other underbody components an
5、d were originally intended toreplace phosphate and oil protective films.Auto deposition coatings are applied over thoroughly cleaned low carbonsheet steels, zinc, zinc/iron, zinc/nickel, zinc/alloy coated mild steel,steel tubing and cast iron parts. No phosphate or other conversionprecoating is requ
6、ired.ESB-M64J27-A1 & B1 are used to make up the initial bath, to replenish bathsolids , and to restore solids lost when purging is periodically performedas the bath ages and contaminants accumulate.ESB-M6 4J27-A2 is used to adjust the bath only when the bath is initiallymade up (not when it is reple
7、nished).ESB-M64 J27-A3 is used to adjust the bath for acidity, reaction rate, andalso affects the paints adhesion to substrate. When the bath isreplen ished, more of this activator must be added in direct proportion tothe amount of ESB-M64J27-A1 & B1 primer added.ESB-M64J27-A4 is used to control the

REQUIREMENTS The Aut odeposition Coating Chemical, ESB-M64J27-A1 & B1, shall meet therequirements of this specificat ion. The
9、additive materials, ESB-M64J27-A2throug h ESB-M64J27-A4, shall meet the requirements detailed in paragraphs3.3 and 3.4. The substrate should be thoroughly cleaned and rinsedprior to application of the autodeposition coating.The test panels are prepared from an autodeposition bath operatingwithin the parameters specified by the supplier.
