6、 is necessary that all grease, oil, dirt and mill scale be removed from the metal parts. This may be accomplished by vapor degreasing, alkali cleaning or sandblasting. After application of the primer, a 10 - 15 min air dry period is necessary before baking. Baking cycles may be as follows: 15 min at
7、 177 C 10 min at 191 C 6 min at 205 C After the primer is cured, the plastisol may be applied in any desired manner. For hot dip application, primer parts are removed directly from the oven and dipped in plastisol. The primers may be applied by brushing, dipping or spraying the metal components. 3.3
8、 APPEARANCE 3.3.1 Color As specified on engineering drawings. 3.4 FILM PROPERTIES 3.4.1 Adhesion to Metal (FLTM BI 106-01) No chipping or flaking. 3.4.2 Adhesion, Plastisol to Primer Attempt to separate plastisol from primer with a knife. System shall be removed from metal before layers can be separated. 5.
