2、mat erial defined by this specification is a knitted, multifilament/monofilament nylon fabric of good commercial quality.2. APPLICATIONThis s pecification was released originally for material used as a backingfabric for cut foam surfaces to promote slippage of knit bodycloth overfoam padding and as

3、filler for tack sewing.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze proce

4、ss/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms establis

5、hed for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples sha ll produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAl

All critical areas with respect tothese properties shall be clea

11、rly designated on the engineeringdrawing.3.16 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr uction, color, proc

12、essing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand

13、 obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in E

14、ngineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMateria ls defined by this specification must have prior engineeringappr oval by the responsible Materials Engineering act

15、ivity. Suppliersdesiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression ofint erest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineeringactivity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit to the affected MaterialsEnginee ring activity a completed copy of their laboratory test r

16、eports,signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility,dem onstrating full compliance with all the requirements of thisspecification (test results, no t nominal values), the material designationand code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineeringapprova

17、l of a material will be based on its performance to thisspecification and on an assessment of suitability for intended processesand /or applications. Upon approval, the material will be added to theEngineering Material Approved Source List.5.
