SCOPEThe material defined by this specification is a woven polyester fabric ofgood commercial quality.2. APPLICATIONThis specification was released originally for material used in seatconstruc

3、tion applications. The dyed sheeting, ESB-M9H78-B, is usedfor seat listings and as a cover for pad mounted sensor switches. Theundyed sheeting, ESB-M9H78-C, is used for headlining listings andas foam reinforcement for fales inserts.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are

9、rials, portions of components, and composites shallnot burn, or transmit a flame across its surface, at a rate of morethan 4 in (101 mm) per min. 10、M9H78-CWP 3948-b Page 3 of 33.13 PERFORMANCE - ENVIRONMENTAL AGINGAll materials, portions of components, and composites defined bythis specification that have not been treated, modified orreformulated and exceed a max burn rate of 3.0 in (76 mm) per minas specified by the Flammability Lot Sampling

11、Plan of FLTM BN 24-2,must be evaluated for permanency of the materials flame retardantproperties per ESB-M25P3-A according to the acceleratedenvironmental aging requirements applicable to the basic materialcategory of this particular specification.Any material, portions of components, and composites

12、 defined bythis specification that have been treated, modified or reformulatedto conform to Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM BN 24-2,regardless of max burn rate, must be evaluated for both permanencyof the materials flame retardant properties and changes inmechanical, chemical and physical pro

13、perties per ESB-M25P3-Aapplicable to the basic materials category of this particularspecification.3.14 FLAMMABILITY TEST PROGRAMMaterials, portions of components, and composites governed by thisspecification must also comply with the requirements of ES-D3AB-11014-AA.3.15 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYMate

14、rial supplied to this specification must be equivalent to thatoriginally approved. Changes in formulation or processing shallnot be made without prior approval as described in SupplierProcedure I-A.4. APPROVAL OF SUPPLIERSSuppliers to this specification must be approved by the affected productengine

15、ering office. Procedure for gaining approval of a specificmaterial to a new/existing ES-M specification is contained in SupplierProcedure I-A. Approved new suppliers will be added to the EngineeringMaterials Approved Source List.5. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe greige sheeting, before the application of finishes, has anapproximate weight range of 2.4 - 2.8 oz/yd 2 (0.08 - 0.09 kg/m 2 )
