SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are non-melting, stiff, smooth homogeneous, heat stable silicone compounds for use in high tension electri
3、cal connections, ignition systems and electronics equipment. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for materials used in lubricating and giving an electrical sealant for spark plug and distributor boots in the ignition systems. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIRMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirments For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 COLOR In its natural form the material shall be translucent and of a color similar
5、to light gray or cream. A fluorescent dye shall be added to the ESE-M1C171-A2 (0.3% by weight, max). The dye shall fluoresce under ultraviolet light and shall be sufficiently intense to permit inspection in the plant. 3.2 PENETRATION, worked 60 strokes, max 310 (ASTM D 217) 3.3 BLEED, max 1% (MIL-S-
