SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a glass reinforced, alkyd (polyester) molding compound. The material is especially formulated for high heat and high impact applications. 2. APPLICATION

3、S This specification was released originally for material used in the manufacture of distributor caps. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A)

4、. 3.1 MOLDED PROPERTIES Test specimens to be run for certification as established by Quality Control. The intervals established by Quality Control to confirm that the values are representative and for initial approval. 3.1.1 Specific Gravity (ASTM D 792) Tolerance of +/- 0.02 for each supplier based

5、 on original sample as approved by Materials Engineering. 3.1.2 Color Blue or as specified on engineering drawing. 3.1.3 Deflection Temperature, min 260 C (ASTM D 648, 264 psi) (1820 kPa) 3.1.4 Dielectric Strength, min (ASTM D 149) Short Time 350 V/mil (13.8 kV/mm) Step by Step 300 V/mil (11.8 kV/mm

8、ents, when required, shall be specified on the engineering drawings. Parts must meet the design intent as called for in the engineering specification for said parts. 5.
