SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cooling system antileak additive containing a fluorescent dye to aid in coolant leak detection. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released original
3、ly for material to provide sealing to engine cooling systems. It is not intended to be used as a production repair item prior to vehicle inspection. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirem
4、ents For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COMPOSITION CERTIFICATION The supplier shall certify the powder composition. 3.3 COMPOSITION The material shall consist of a finely milled mixture of vegetable matter with a borate binder. 3.3.1 Vegetable Matter Hardwood Almond Shell 30 40 % Ginger

6、bran, starch, sugars and any other material that will render a detrimental or harmful effect to the cooling system components. There shall be no clogging of the radiator tubes when this compound is used and cooling system cleaners shall readily remove it, should removal be desired at any time after
