It controls the bond of the aluminum/polyester and the aluminum polyester laminate to an acrylic substrate (ESF-M4D9). 2. APPLICATION This speci
3、fication was released originally for material used for instrument cluster dials or appliques. 3. REQUIREMENTS For both laminate (applique) and laminate to substrate. (12 parts minimum required) 3.1 BOND STRENGTH Aluminum to polyester and polyester to its substrate. 3.1.1 INITIAL, MIN 2 lb (8.9 N) (A
4、STM D 903, except 90 peel on a 0.5 in (13 mm) wide strip, rate of pull 6 in (150 mm)/min) 3.1.2 After Environmental Exposure, 2 lb (8.9 N) per para 3.2, min (ASTM D 903, except 90 peel on a 0.5 in (13 mm) wide strip, rate of pull 6 in (150 mm)/min) A minimum of 6 parts shall be subjected to each of

7、.4 Salt Spray (ASTM B 117) Upon completion of humidity exposure, subject parts to 8 h salt spray. 3.3 APPEARANCE Upon completion of environmental exposure (para 3.2), parts shall have no greater warpage than a smooth continuous bow (concave or convex) not to exceed a total of 0.004 in/in (mm/mm) of length. The laminates shall show no evidence of lifting before, during or after the indicated environmental cycles. 3.4 QUALITY The bonding shall have no adverse effect upon the laminates, such as crazing, softening or discoloration.
